Charles Haughey was born on 16 September 1925 in Ballycastle, County Donegal, Ireland. He was a politician who served as Taoiseach of Ireland from 1979 to 1981, 1982 to 1987, and 1992 to 1994. He was also a member of the Irish parliament from 1957 to 1997. Haughey was a controversial figure who was accused of corruption and financial irregularities. He died on 26 June 2006 in Dublin, Ireland.
