Bohemond I was a prince of Taranto, a city in southern Italy. He was the eldest son of Robert Guiscard, the Norman duke of Apulia and Calabria, and his first wife, Alberada of Buonalbergo. Bohemond succeeded his father as duke of Apulia and Calabria in 1085, and he also inherited the county of Taranto.
