Constantine II was one of the three sons of Constantine the Great. His brothers were Constans and Constantius II. The three brothers ruled together as Roman emperors, but they were often at odds with each other. In 340, Constantine II was killed in battle with Constans. Constans then became the sole emperor of the Roman Empire.
