Answer

Julian, also known as Julian the Apostate, was a Roman emperor from 361 to 363 AD. He was the nephew of Constantius II and was allegedly named as his rightful successor before his death. However, Julian was not favored by Constantius's court and was forced to flee the capital of Constantinople. After Constantius's death in 361, Julian returned to the capital and was declared emperor by the army.
