Constantius II (25 January 317 – 3 November 361) was Roman emperor from 337 to 361. He was the eldest son of Constantine I the Great and Fausta, and the elder brother of Constantine II and Constans. Constantius II was born in York, Britain, and spent much of his early life in the western provinces of the Roman Empire.
