Constantius II was the son of Constantine the Great and his second wife Fausta. He was born in Naissus, Moesia Superior, in 317 AD. Constantius II succeeded his father as emperor in 337 AD, after his father's death. He ruled the eastern part of the Roman Empire until his death in 361 AD.
