Dietrich Bonhoeffer studied theology at the University of Berlin. He was a German Lutheran pastor, theologian, anti-Nazi dissident, and key figure in the Confessing Church. He was executed by the Nazi regime in 1945 for his role in the failed plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler.
