Answer
Barthélemy Boganda, the first president of Central African Republic, had a dream of creating a collective nation of African countries, which he called the United States of Latin Africa. He was inspired by the United States of America and its motto, "e pluribus unum," meaning "out of many, one." Boganda believed that Africa could be a united and prosperous continent if its people worked together.
