Djibril Cissé (born 12 August 1981) is a French former professional footballer who played as a striker. He was a prolific goalscorer in his early career, particularly at Liverpool and Lyon, but his later career was disrupted by injuries. He was capped 41 times by the France national team, scoring nine goals, and represented his country at the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cups and the UEFA Euro 2008.
