After retiring from professional rugby in 2002, Doddie Weir became a campaigner and fundraiser for motor neurone disease (MND). He set up the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation in 2009, which has raised over £7.5 million for MND research and support. Weir has also been a patron of the MND Association since 2009.
