Douglas Dean Osheroff is an American physicist who shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1996 with Carl E. Wieman and Eric A. Cornell for their discovery of Bose-Einstein condensation in a dilute atomic gas. He is a Wood Professor of Physics, Emeritus at Stanford University.
