Sir Edward Carson (1854–1935) was an Irish lawyer and Unionist politician. He was a member of the British Parliament from 1892 to 1921, and served as the Lord Chancellor of Ireland from 1921 to 1922. Carson was a leading figure in the campaign for Ulster to remain part of the United Kingdom during the Irish War of Independence. He was knighted in 1900, and became known as Sir Edward Carson.
