Æthelwold (894–924) was a Saxon prince, the son of King Edmund the Elder and Eadgifu. He was the brother of King Edward the Elder, who ruled England from 901 to 924. After Edward's death, Æthelwold contested the throne with his nephew Athelstan, who was eventually victorious.
