Answer
El Campeador is a Spanish title that was translated into English as The Champion. It was given to the medieval Castilian nobleman Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, who was also known as El Cid Campeador, or simply El Cid. The title was given to him in recognition of his military prowess and his role in the Reconquista, the Christian reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula from the Muslims.
