Emperor Huizong of Song spent nine years in captivity. After the Northern Song dynasty was conquered by the Jurchen Jin dynasty in 1127, Emperor Huizong and his son, Emperor Qinzong, were captured and taken to Jin territory. Emperor Huizong spent the rest of his life in captivity, dying in 1135.
