Enda Kenny served as Minister of State with responsibility for Youth Affairs in the Department of Labour and Department of Education from 1986 to 1987. During this time, he was responsible for developing and implementing policies on youth unemployment, youth training and education, and youth participation in society. He also played a key role in the establishment of the National Youth Council of Ireland.
