Enda Kenny is a Fine Gael politician who served as Taoiseach of Ireland from 2011 to 2017. He is the first Fine Gael Taoiseach since John Bruton (1994–1997). Kenny was first elected to Dáil Éireann in 1975 and served as Minister for Tourism and Transport from 1994 to 1997. He was Leader of Fine Gael from 2002 to 2017 and Leader of the Opposition from 2002 to 2011.
