John Frankenheimer passed away on November 3, 2002. He was an American film director and producer. He was best known for his work on political thrillers such as The Manchurian Candidate (1962), Seven Days in May (1964), and The Birdman of Alcatraz (1962). He also directed the science fiction film Seconds (1966), the war film The Train (1964), and the western The Last Train from Gun Hill (1959).
