Ahmad Tejan Kabbah was the president of Sierra Leone from 1996 to 2007. He was succeeded by Ernest Bai Koroma in 2007. Kabbah was a member of the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP) and was a strong advocate for democracy and human rights. He led the country through a brutal civil war and helped to bring peace and stability to Sierra Leone.
