The Berghof was a chalet in the Bavarian Alps in Berchtesgaden, Germany, that was the home of Adolf Hitler and his mistress Eva Braun. It was constructed in 1935 and became a meeting place for the Nazi Party leadership. Braun became a part of Hitler's household in 1936 and remained there until his death in 1945. The Berghof was destroyed by Allied bombing in 1945.
