Answer
Melozzo da Forlì (c. 1438 – 1494) was an Italian painter of the Renaissance, born in Forlì, Romagna. Melozzo was a pupil of Piero della Francesca, and his work shows the influence of that master. He is best known for his frescoes in the church of San Francesco in Forlì, and for his altarpiece in the Pinacoteca Vaticana.
