Fulbert Youlou passed away on November 29, 1972 at the age of 67. He was a Congolese politician who served as the first President of the Republic of the Congo from 1959 to 1963. Youlou was a member of the Congolese Progressive Party and was a strong supporter of French colonialism. He was overthrown in a coup d'état in 1963 and died in exile in Paris in 1972.
