George Chip was known for being a heavy puncher in boxing. He was a British heavyweight boxer who competed in the early 20th century. Chip won the British heavyweight title in 1911 and defended it three times before losing it to Bombardier Billy Wells in 1912. Chip also fought for the world heavyweight title twice, losing to Jack Johnson in 1910 and Jess Willard in 1919.
