George Paget Thomson made several contributions to quantum mechanics. He was the first person to observe the wave-like nature of electrons, and he also helped to develop Theory of electron diffraction. He shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1937 with Clinton Davisson for their work on electron diffraction.
