Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna of Russia was the fourth daughter of Czar Nicholas II and Alexandra. She was born on 26 June 1899 in Tsarskoye Selo. She was a beautiful and intelligent child, and was well-loved by her family and the people of Russia. However, her life was cut short when she was executed by the Bolsheviks in 1918 along with her parents and siblings.
