Gregory Cromwell died in 1551. He was an English lawyer and politician who served as Secretary of State to King Henry VIII from 1534 to 1540. He was a key figure in the English Reformation and was responsible for the dissolution of the monasteries. He was also a close associate of Thomas Cromwell, his uncle, who was Lord Chancellor of England.
