Henning von Tresckow was a German military officer who served as a staff officer to Field Marshal Günther von Kluge. He was a member of the German military resistance to Adolf Hitler and was involved in several attempts to assassinate the Nazi leader. In July 1944, he was involved in the failed July 20 Plot to kill Hitler. After the plot failed, Tresckow committed suicide.
