Hans Frank was appointed Governor General of occupied Poland in 1939. He was a member of the Nazi Party and was one of Adolf Hitler's closest associates. Frank was responsible for the administration of Poland during the Nazi occupation and was responsible for the deaths of millions of Poles. He was tried and convicted of war crimes after the war and was executed in 1946.
