  • April 1908

  • June 1908

Answer

Campbell-Bannerman resigned as prime minister in April 1908. He had been in office since December 1905, and had led the Liberal Party to victory in the general election of 1906. However, his health had been declining for some time, and he eventually felt unable to continue in office. He was succeeded by H. H. Asquith, who would remain in office until the outbreak of World War I in 1914.
