On whose advice did Hergé create The Adventures of Tintin?

  • Raymond Leblanc

  • Norbert Wallez

  • E.P Jacobs

  • Hergé's father

Answer

Norbert Wallez was a Belgian journalist who was the editor-in-chief of the newspaper Le Vingtième Siècle, for which Hergé worked. Wallez was a supporter of the Belgian nationalist movement and he encouraged Hergé to create a comic strip that would promote Belgian patriotism. The result was The Adventures of Tintin, which became one of the most popular comic strips in the world.
