Richard Jefferson was selected 13th overall in the 2001 NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets. He was a highly touted prospect coming out of the University of Arizona, where he was named Pac-10 Player of the Year in his junior season. Jefferson had a successful NBA career, playing for several teams and winning an NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.
