Imad Mughniyeh was a founding member of Hezbollah's leadership and a key figure in the organization's terrorist activities. He was responsible for the planning and execution of numerous attacks, including the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing and the 1992 bombing of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires. Mughniyeh was killed in a car bombing in Damascus in 2008.
