Muhyiddin Yassin was the Prime Minister of Malaysia during Ismail Sabri's stint as Leader of the Opposition. Yassin was appointed as Prime Minister in March 2020, following the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan coalition government. Sabri was elected as the Leader of the Opposition in August 2021, after the collapse of the Perikatan Nasional coalition government.
