Opposed, Iván Duque, the former President of Colombia, was against the FARC peace agreement. He believed that the agreement was too lenient on the FARC guerrillas and that it would not bring about lasting peace. Duque also argued that the agreement would give the FARC too much political power and that it would undermine the rule of law.
