Jahan Shah started to reign in 1438. He was the fourth sultan of the Tughlaq dynasty of the Delhi sultanate. He was a son of Firuz Shah Tughlaq. Jahan Shah was a weak ruler and his reign was marked by political instability and economic decline. He was eventually overthrown by his nephew, Muhammad Shah.
