Andreas Thorkildsen is a Norwegian javelin thrower. He broke Jan Železný's junior world record in 2002, and went on to win the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Thorkildsen is a three-time world champion, and has also won the European Championships three times.
