Jews were the main victims of Jozef Tiso's deportations during his presidency. Under Tiso, the Slovak state sent nearly 70,000 Jews to concentration camps in German-occupied Poland, where most of them were killed. Tiso's government also confiscated Jewish property and forced Jews to wear the yellow Star of David.
