Katrín Jakobsdóttir served as the Minister of Education, Science, and Culture and of Nordic co-operation from 2009 to 2013. During her time in office, she oversaw the implementation of a number of reforms to the Icelandic education system, including the introduction of a new curriculum and the creation of a new national assessment system.
