Kay Bailey Hutchison was a United States senator from Texas who served from 1993 to 2013. In 2017, she was appointed by President Donald Trump to serve as the United States Permanent Representative to NATO. In this role, she is the head of the United States delegation to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Hutchison is the first woman to hold this position.
