Khorloogiin Choibalsan held several political and military roles in the 1920s. He was the leader of the Mongolian People's Party and was appointed Prime Minister of Mongolia in 1927. He also served as the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Choibalsan was a strong supporter of communism and played a key role in the establishment of the Mongolian People's Republic in 1924.
