Constantine V (c. 718 – 775) was Byzantine emperor from 741 to 775. He was a member of the Byzantine Isaurian dynasty. He earned the nickname "Anointed with Urine" after an incident in which he was defeated by the Bulgars in 763 and was forced to take refuge in the fortress of Adrianople.
