James Webb was born on September 2, 1841. He is best known for his work at NASA, where he served as Administrator from 1961 to 1968. During his tenure, NASA oversaw the Apollo program, which landed the first humans on the Moon. Webb also played a key role in the development of the Hubble Space Telescope.
