Leonte Răutu was a Romanian communist politician and diplomat. He was the first Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Romanian People's Republic, serving in this capacity from 1947 to 1952. He was also a member of the Politburo of the Romanian Communist Party from 1948 to 1961. Răutu was a close friend of Ana Pauker, who was also a prominent communist militant.
