Lev Kamenev, a prominent Russian revolutionary and politician, attended Imperial Moscow University. He studied law and philosophy there, and became involved in radical politics while he was a student. He was a member of the Social Democratic Labour Party of Russia (RSDLP) and later the Bolshevik Party. Kamenev was a close associate of Vladimir Lenin and was a member of the Bolshevik Central Committee.
