Answer
In 1880, Lluís Domènech i Montaner, Josep M. Folguera, Josep Torras i Bages, Joan Colomines, Josep M. Vallès i Ribot and Josep Puig i Cadafalch organized a commission to approve demands for Catalan autonomy. They were influenced by the Catalan Renaixença, a movement that sought to revive the Catalan language and culture, and they were also inspired by the Catalanist political party, the Centre Català.
