Charles VIII of France (30 June 1470 – 30 April 1498) was the second son of Louis XI of France and Charlotte of Savoy. Upon his father's death in 1483, Charles inherited the throne at the age of 13. Charles' reign was marked by the War of the League of Cambrai and the Italian Wars.
