Answer
Tilsit was the meeting place between Louise, Queen of Prussia, and Napoleon Bonaparte, Emperor of France. The meeting took place in July 1807, after the Prussian defeat at the Battle of Jena-Auerstedt. Louise attempted to persuade Napoleon to grant more lenient peace terms to Prussia, but her efforts were unsuccessful. The Treaty of Tilsit, which was signed between Prussia and France, resulted in Prussia losing significant territory and influence.
