Maharana Pratap was a 16th-century Rajput king of Mewar in Rajasthan, India. He was the most important ruler of the Sisodia clan of Rajputs, and is credited with helping to unify the Rajputs against the Mughals. Chetak was Maharana Pratap's favourite horse, and was known for its speed and bravery. The two were inseparable, and Chetak is said to have saved Maharana Pratap's life on several occasions.
