Martín Vizcarra held the position of President of Peru from 2018 to 2020. He was the 55th President of Peru and was a member of the Peruvian People's Party. Vizcarra was a civil engineer and served as Minister of Transport and Communications from 2016 to 2017. He was elected President in 2018 after the impeachment of Pedro Pablo Kuczynski. Vizcarra was impeached in 2020 and was succeeded by Francisco Sagasti.
