Dutch physicist Martinus J.G. Veltman is known for his work on the electroweak theory, for which he shared the 1999 Nobel Prize in Physics with his colleague Gerard't Hooft. Veltman's nationality is Dutch, as he was born in Waalwijk, Netherlands, on June 27, 1931.
